Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3071.115 Safari/537.36 Example URL: google search, gmail, yahoo.com (after I tried new email - gone when I reverted back to old) Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. using gmail 2. searching google 3. What is the expected behavior? black boxes surround anything i click on - then they start to blink, distort text or block text I am looking at, especially when scrolling. What went wrong? I don't know - started initially after I updated yahoo mail and only on that site at first. Then I reverted to previous yahoo mail after I saw it start to happen on google search site - I uninstalled chrome, cleared cache. Yahool email works okay now, but still having problem in Chrome an gmail. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 59.0.3071.115 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.2 (Windows 8) Flash Version: Been reading other sites who claim it is a chrome bug - but no one seems to have a lasting fix. Seems to return after manipulating the accelerated hardware or creating other profile.

chrisdh2009@ says this bug happens with hardware acceleration on so this is not a duplicate of 734058 and needs further investigation.

I have the same issue. We are running same version of Chrome as reported on Windows 8.1 and HW acceleration disabled.

ericrk: Do you think this could be a potential non-android "render surface using larger texture" bug instance? I guess there's no easy way for a user to validate that at the moment, right?

re #6 - That code didn't make it in to 59, so I don't think this is related.

enne@: Note that in comment #5, a user reports it as occurring with HW acceleration disabled. Perhaps it's a software compositor and/or partial swap issue? chrisdh2009@: could you navigate to chrome://gpu and attach the contents of that page to this bug? Could you also test with/without "Use hardware acceleration if available" in chrome://settings (Advanced). Thanks in advance!

Having the same issue. With both black and white boxes, where ever I hover my mouse. Not happening in other browsers, just Chrome.
