Issue description
Chrome Version : 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
Safari:OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Enable chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features
(2) Produce an element with backdrop-filter: blur(10px); and box-shadow: 3px 3px 5px 6px #ccc;
What is the expected result?
The blur will extend to the edges of the box shadow;
What happens instead?
It should be contained in the same area such as background-color: #000;
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Confirmed this is a background filter problem using example in COmment #6 pasted into codepen (or jsfiddle). senorblanco@, who knows anything about this code?

Background filters are pretty much unowned right now. jdasika@ was looking at them, but I don't think they're on his plate anymore. Until we take them out from behind the experimental flag, I don't think it's a pressing issue.

Please note that Edge 17 has better Backdrop-filter support than Chrome's but on large containers, it only applies to a point of the container and not to the whole ones. |
