Chrome locks up all GUI / Typing will randomly quit

Reported by theoreoc...@gmail.com, Jul 1 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3071.115 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open GMail. Type an email
2. Add a URL and try to select it to add hyperlink
3. Click on hyperlink tool
See: Nothing happens when you click. No hyperlinks are inserted. GUI gets locked up.
4. Try to continue typing
See: Can't type anything

What is the expected behavior?
For it to work.

What went wrong?
This happens randomly. I have been sexperiencing this problem ever since the latest Chrome update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times. Nothing fixes it. I can type fine in a work document, but I cannot type in a chrome window. This happens whether I am trying to search, type an email or type something into a asocial media post. GUI locks up and things are not clickable and I can no longer type. I have to kill chrome and open again. It will work for a few seconds until the problem returns.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 59.0.3071.115 Channel: stable

Unable to reproduce this issue on Windows-10 using chrome latest stable #59.0.3071.115 by following steps mentioned in the original comment. Able to open the created hyper link from gmail and able to type with no issues.

Reporter@ Are you able to reproduce this issue in incognito mode as well? Could you please provide any sample crash Id's from chrome://crashes for further investigation.

Thanks!

Hi,

I found what the problem is. This happens when using a Wacom tablet in a
chrome browser. For some reason the pen click is often not recognized and
results is everything seeming like it's locked up. I have tried using
alternate Wacom drivers, but the problem still persists. I will report the
bug to Wacom.

Best,
Tina.
