chell: no Chrome logo screen at boot for 9694.0.2017_06_28_1848-a1

The last clean developer test build that showed a login screen was 9676.0.2017_06_22_1134-a1. But that build blinks the screen on the chell DVT "SKu 3" unit that I have at my desk.

R61-9679.0.2017_06_23 doesn't put up a "Chrome Logo" or login screen. ctl-alt-f2 (right arrow) doesn't give me a console on tty2 even though the machine is in developer mode.

9694.0.2017_06_28_1848 is the same as 9679 build.

Summary: chell: no Chrome logo screen at boot for 9694.0.2017_06_28_1848-a1 (was: chell: no login prompt for 9694.0.2017_06_28_1848-a1)
With 9676.0.2017_06_22_1134 build: switching to tty2 (ctl-alt-f2) results in console that blinks.
Status: WontFix (was: Untriaged)
this was fixed in the kernel

ACK - ToT is working. I just just tried R61-9731.0.0:
    cros flash usb:// xbuddy://remote/chell/latest-dev

But my own builds are not working. This is supposed to be a clean build: "repo status" shows only one change in autotest/files in my chroot. So I'll have to sort this out since I need my builds to boot too.
