Absolute child elements get shifted when parent is in RTL mode, has scrollbar and transform.

Reported by anz...@gmail.com, Jun 29 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Load up file in Chrome
2. Tap any of the items in the list (except last)

What is the expected behavior?
List items should scale independent of one another and not affect each other's position.

What went wrong?
Scaling one item shifts the rest of the items, as if they are statically positioned. This does not occur in LTR mode.

Did this work before? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 58.0.3029.110 Channel: n/a

Could you please review the attached screenshots from both the latest canary(61.0.3148.0) and the reported version: 58.0.3029.110, tested by enabling #force-ui-direction flag. Seeing the same behavior on FF as on the latest chrome canary.

Please confirm if this is still an issue on the latest and if possible attach a screenshot where this works fine.

Thanks in advance!

I think I haven't explained the steps to reproduce that well. :)

Here's some GIFs from Canary (61.0.3148.0), Safari and FF. Notice how the behaviour is only broken in Chrome. Let me know if you need any further details.

Also, attached is a screenshot without the RTL class on <body>:

Issue looks to only happen on OSX. Linux and Windows OK.

Comment 8 by j...@mappedin.ca, Oct 12 2017

Plus: testing with macOS version 10.12.6
Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)
