After pressing enter VR button, presentation / split screen mode is displayed for a second before don flow

Does not occur on Chrome beta 60.0.3112.43

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) With Daydream as headset, go to https://webvr.info/samples/03-vr-presentation.html and press enter VR button

What is the expected result? Immediately after pressing the button, the DON flow is triggered, showing a msg prompting the user to place the phone in the headset.

What happens instead? Immediately after pressing the button, split screen/presentation mode is displayed for ~ 1 second, then the DON flow starts, showing the msg asking the user to place the phone in the headset.

This is likely caused by the DON flow change.

Working as intended. VR UI is now created before the DON flow (and Daydream triggers the DON flow asynchronously).

This is more in-line with how all other daydream apps work, and it dramatically reduces the time it takes to resume Chrome after the DON flow (when the user is inside their headset), which is important.
