WebUSB API addEventListener 'disconnect' event not firing

Reported by sczar...@informationmediary.com, Jun 27 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3071.115 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. click CONNECT button, and select & connect it from the list.
2. click the "site information" icon in the navigation bar, and make sure the device selected is on the list.
3. disconnect the device from the USB port.

What is the expected behavior?
the message "Device Disconnected!!!" is displayed to the screen after the USB device is unplugged from the port.

What went wrong?
the message "Device Disconnected!!!" DOSE NOT get displayed to the screen after the USB device is unplugged from the port.

Did this work before? No

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 59.0.3071.115 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version:

The USB device I am using is a custom device with firmware made to be used with WebUSB, I am able to connect the the device and get the Landing Page no problem, the device has vendorId, productId, classCode, and protocolCode, but no Serial Number, as to my understanding the Serial Number is needed for the 'connect' event and not the 'disconnect' event.

Correction: Does this work in other browsers? Only tried it on Chrome, I believe WebUSB API only works on Chrome.

Tested this issue using latest stable #59.0.3071.115 on Win 10.

Nothing is happening on clicking on connect button the test_case.html file. Attaching console report for the reference.

@sczarski: Please confirm the behavior.
