This report will ONLY be viewable by Google.

THIS REPRO FROM WEBVIEW m55 TO m61, SO THIS ISSUE IS NOT A REGRESSION.
SO FAR I'M SEEING THIS ISSUE ON LG DEVICE (TEST ON SAMSUNG OEM EMAIL, I WAS NOT ABLE TO REPRO)- POSSIBLE LG DEVICES SPECIFIC

Device name: LG G6 (Adreno(TM) 530/LG-H860) / NRD90U
WebView version: 55.0.2883.91 and 61.0.3142.0
Version: [Android] Email 1.2.0 (36)
User ID: 3daf1c8d-5d7a-3c08-a0d9-7abaefd0e5b7
OS API Level: 24
Model: LG-H870DS
Manufacturer: LGE
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 7.0; LG-H870DS Build/NRD90U; wv) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Chrome/55.0.2883.91 Mobile Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:
(1) Launch OEM Email Apps > Compose or select any existing email/Reply > type some word or character in the compose.
(2) Enable multi window mode
(3) Now observe the OEM email/compose activity

I DO SEE THIS ISSUE WHEN WE DO FROM MUTLIWINDOW TO FULL SCREEN MODE AND FULL SCREEN TO MULTIWINDOW MODE

Actual result:

This is almost certainly an application bug. It is not handling the configuration change, and thus the activity is being restarted. The application would need to save and restore the editing state, but instead it appears to be just reloading the initial editing state.

I'm going to close this, but please reopen if you're aware of a webview version that this is a regression from.

Removing RVG in the hope that LGE developers find this.
