Chrome apps are deprecated on Win/Mac/Linux.[1] Even on Chrome OS, some apps APIs are obsolete: they're not used or they have web standards replacements.
There may also be obsolete extension APIs worth removing.
This is a tracking bug for identifying and removing obsolete APIs, or at least limiting the scope of APIs where we can -- especially private APIs used in very few places.
This bug is NOT about removing or disabling APIs that are in use.
