Profile switching effect artifacts and performance problems |
|||
Issue descriptionThe profile switching effect on ChromeOS is implemented by changing the opacity of each window that is being shown or hidden. This results in windows behind other windows to appear during the transition. That looks bad. It's also inefficient as it causes a large amount of overdraw. This effect should preferably be implemented by having all windows fade in/out as a group and render surface caching can likely be used to improve performance.

I'm going to wontfix this as we'll be overhauling profiles and this will be obsolete. |
