Webpages elements are oversaturated on the screen with wide color gamut

Reported by mateusz....@gmail.com, Jun 24 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Calibrated Screen with wide color gamut (AdobeRGB) + installed ICC Profile
2. Chrome doesn't reproduce elements on websites properly. Graphics other than images are oversaturated and it is not acceptable. It means that Chrome supports ICC profiles only for the images and nothing else.

What is the expected behavior?
Chrome should have option to turn on something like: "Enable color management for all rendered graphics' and display all graphics using icc profile or made it as default feature.

Firefox has option: gfx.color_management.mode 1 and it works as it should!

What went wrong?
Website elements (except Images) are oversaturated.

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? No

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 58.0.3029.110 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 26.0 r0

There are so many people (photographers, designers) who are waiting for this feature especially if Firefox is only the one on the marketplace with the full color management support.

There is work ongoing to (finally) support color profiles. Try Chrome Canary if possible to see the latest behavior and update the bug accordingly.
I've downloaded the latest version of Chrome Canary and I've set #enable-color-correct-rendering to "enable"' and nothing happened.

I have ICC Profile v.2
Please attach your system's ICC profile so we can see if it's having trouble parsing. Also may have been fixed by crrev.com/487395.
@ccameron, here you are.

It seems that Chrome 61 is finally color management and it's working! I supposed this issue can be closed now.

Indeed we can close it. Thanks for verifying.
