☂ Enable web platform features that have been disabled in VR

Currently, various features that cause 2D popups on Android are disabled while in the VR browser.

Examples include  issue 715613 ,  issue 688122 ,  issue 715601 ,  issue 715604 ,  issue 715609 ,  issue 715600 , issue 728274,  issue 733410 , and  issue 730850 
Also related are  issue 689212  and  issue 715603 .

This umbrella bug tracks re-enabling these features such that they render correctly in VR.

we triaged all the 2D surfaces, and will be filling individual bugs as necessary to re-enable ones that didn't make it into MVP. No more action is required in this bug.
