60 forgets monitor orientation on logout |
||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: Version 60.0.3112.34 (Official Build) beta (64-bit) Chrome OS Version: 9592.22.0 (Official Build) beta-channel guado Chrome OS Platform: GUADO ASUS Chromebox CN62 Corp enrolled device, using corp account. Steps To Reproduce: (1) Dual monitor setup. Primary monitor is HP Z30i and is normal orientation, extended monitor is HP Z24i and is at a 90 degree rotation. Primary is DisplayPort, extended is HDMI. (2) Log into corp user and set HP Z24i to 90 degree rotation. (3) Log out and log back in. Orientation is forgotten at logout and does not return at login. Expected Result: Orientation settings should be remembered and should probably be set for all users. Actual Result: Extended monitor returns to standard orientation. How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to reproduce?) 4/4 What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is it? Means needing to manually turn monitor back to standard orientation (or cock head sideways) and then dig into settings to correct on every reboot / login. This may be corp policy setting https://www.chromium.org/administrators/policy-list-3#DisplayRotationDefault to 0 (standard orientation) for enrolled devices.
