You are probably looking for a change made after 437080 (known good), but no later than 437081 (first known bad). Thanks for reporting this. Opening chrome://translate-internals in a tab, visiting the page in a second tab, and then looking at chrome://translate-internals/#detection-logs, the text that gets passed to the model is pasted at the bottom of this message. There is no great reason the Translate bubble should be offered on the Google homepage. That page is localized in most languages; we don't need a machine translation for it. When you come across pages with legitimate content that are being detected in the wrong language, or you think should trigger a Translate dialog but are not, then the LangID folks and the Chrome Language folks are happy to look at it. |
