feature request - Can we have the APIs to control the chrome browser button?

Reported by victor...@gmail.com, Jun 21 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3071.86 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
this is a feature request.
1. N.A

What is the expected behavior?
3. Expected benefits from partnership
More powerful Chrome app and user friendly with HTC mobile phone because there are more information or quick controller can be put this space. Chrome app will have a special piece to show their valuable contents.

What went wrong?
it will be great to have Chrome app API for the developer to control the buttons of browser.

Did this work before? No

Does this work in other browsers? No
 1. Background of proposal
More and more people would like to have a bigger mobile screen than old one but they wouldn’t like to have bigger phone size on hand. How to fulfill both of the conflict requirement is HTC doing now. HTC is planning to provide more space of screen on mobile phone. 3rd app can utilize the available space of top screen for their app functions, information sharing etc.
HTC can provide the integration SDK interface for 3rd app to integrate their apps and showing the cool functions on the space of top of screen.

2. Proposal detail
The space size “360px * 40px”. It shows on the top of screen as rectangle shape above the status bar.
HTC intends to provide this space on mobile phone of screen for 3rd app which can add some easy controller or information on there.

For chrome: e.g. Show previous/next page, share, download, refresh, new tab and bookmark button on the top of screen when user is using chrome app to survey the internet by mobile phone. Make useful button on the top of screen and it won’t impact app’s main screen.

Chrome version: 59.0.3071.86 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version:
