Enable VR browser automated tests on Cardboard |
||
Issue descriptionAs discussed in Issue 732573 , some external developers have been using a Cardboard viewer instead of Daydream View so that they can bypass the DON flow. While this is not officially supported by us, there shouldn't be any reason why it wouldn't work, so enabling some of our automated tests to also run on Cardboard would be a good idea. If the VR browser later becomes Daydream View only, then it will be easy to re-restrict tests to Daydream View. Note that this doesn't apply to all VR browser tests, as some functionality is still Daydream only (NFC, controller input).

All the tests that can be enabled on Cardboard without having to change non-test code (i.e. tests that don't involve exiting WebVR presentation) have been set to run on Daydream devices regardless of paired viewer, so closing. |
