Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Install Alibaba app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alibaba.intl.android.apps.poseidon&hl=en)
2. Click on button "Get Latest Price ON APP” button on page-”https://m.alibaba.com/page/test3.html” 

Observe that the app linking works and Chrome is able to open the app

3 click on “Get Latest Price ON APP” button on page -”https://m.alibaba.com/product/60167549346/syftest-don-t-attachment-english-normal.html”
Observed results : App linking will not work. 

What is the expected behavior?
App linking works for both the page: 
https://m.alibaba.com/product/60167549346/syftest-don-t-attachment-english-normal.html

https://m.alibaba.com/page/test3.html

What went wrong?
App linking works only for page : https://m.alibaba.com/page/test3.html

The “Get Latest Price ON APP” button on page-”https://m.alibaba.com/page/test3.html” has the following href:

I am not sure on how Chrome is able to fire an intent in the first case (https://m.alibaba.com/page/test3.html ) without adding the custom intent as suggested in this page: 
https://developer.chrome.com/multidevice/android/intents

Please note : if they add the custom intent by encoding href on the anchor and changing the app manifest file accordingly, then the issue is not reproducible. 
ex:
<a href="intent://dynamic/#Intent;scheme=zxing;package=google.com.applinkingsample;end">

 However, Alibaba team wants to know if its a bug on Chrome as the ap linking is working in page ”https://m.alibaba.com/page/test3.html ” and not working for page- ”https://m.alibaba.com/product/60167549346/syftest-don-t-attachment-english-normal.html ”
