Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS aarch64 9592.15.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.26 Safari/537.36 Platform: 9592.15.0 (Official Build) beta-channel kevin Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open android app with tablet view (Reddit Sync, Mint, etc) 2. Maximize app 3. App opens in phone view instead of tablet view What is the expected behavior? Android apps that have a tablet-specific view are opening in phone only view What went wrong? With Android Marshmallow, apps that have a tablet view were working properly. Upon updating to Nougat, apps only open in phone view. Did this work before? Yes Marshmallow Chrome version: 60.0.3112.26 Channel: beta OS Version: 9592.15.0 Flash Version: 26.0.0.120 /opt/google/chrome/pepper/libpepflashplayer.so

It worked fine on Marshmallow on the Chromebook Plus. It also works as intended on my Pixel C with Nougat and the Android O beta. Any thoughts on why you think the apps are incorrect?

This is by design. We had issues with tablet size in many apps and decided to stick to phone size by default. However, we're working on improving experience so stay tuned.

Thanks for the info. Any way a flag can be set or a developer option in Android? I never had any problems with it before and would like to continue to use it. Makes having a 13" screen kind of useless. Thanks for all your work! |
