What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Rebase upstream branch topic/reef-v4.10 onto https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/528021/
(2) Build Reef firmware at master and load onto device
(3) play audio (check /var/log/messages)

What is the expected result?
Audio plays

What happens instead?
No audio, causes video freezing in youtube, pcm_avail complains about buffer overflow
