Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3071.86 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SniYgg_sfAo&feature=youtu.be&t=29s Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Play video to 0:30 What is the expected behavior? Annotation comes up with text. What went wrong? Annotation is just a black rectangle, and you have to hover the mouse cursor over it to get the text inside to show. Does it occur on multiple sites: No Is it a problem with a plugin? Able to reproduce this issue on Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome latest stable #59.0.3071.86. This issue is observed on Firefox browser as well. Considering this is not chrome specific issue and adding appropriate label for further triage. Thanks!

Tested the issue on Windows 7 , ubuntu 14.04 and Mac OS 10.12.5 using chrome stable and canary M61 #61.0.3131.0 and issue is reproduced. Issue is seen from M40 #40.0.2172.0 and is a non-regression issue. Marking it as untraiged for further inputs on this. Thanks!

Not a Chrome issue since it happens in FireFox as well. Suggest you send feedback to youtube via the "Send Feedback" menu item in YouTube.
