When I type 'applebees' in the omnibar, followed by a space, my omnibar asks to search the Time Warner Cable website...

Reported by ffutst...@gmail.com, Jun 11 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Type applebees in the omnibar
2.Press the space bar
3.My omnibar now says 'Search Time Warner Cable' as if I had typed google.com SPACE then typed a query

What is the expected behavior?
For the omnibar to hold my input, keeping it as 'applebees ' with a space, so i can type something like 'applebees menu' and hit enter, which will cause a google search of 'applebees menu' instead of chrome searching the time warner cable website for 'menu'

What went wrong?
just read the other fields.

Did this work before? Yes I don't remember, but it was maybe 2 months ago I'd say

Chrome version: 58.0.3029.110 Channel: n/a

Under the 'Did this work before?' field, I meant to say that yes it worked, and the last time that I remember it working without this issue is about maybe 2 months ago.

Unable to reproduce the issue on the reported version: 58.0.3029.110 on Windows-10.

Could you also check the same in incognito mode and see if there is any difference. Also, check the chrome://settings/searchEngines and see if any search engine added by extensions there?

It sounds like you have a custom search engine with the keyword "applebees". Can you go into the settings menu, find the section on "Search" with a button labeled "Manage search engines" and click on the button? The bottom half of the window that popups up should be labeled "Other search engines". Can you find something labeled "applebees" in there? If so, that's your issue. Delete it.

I'm curious how this came to be (assuming you don't know how; if you do know, tell me). If you don't know how it got there, and there is an applebees entry there, before you delete it, please make a copy of your profile data
https://www.chromium.org/user-experience/user-data-directory
and share it with me. I'll promise to keep it confidential. I'll look to see if there's a record of how the entry appeared.
Hey ffutstuff@, did you find a custom search engine in your settings named "applebees"?
