Problem with 'Desktop mode'

Device name: Xperia M4 Aqua Dual

From "Settings > About Chrome"
Application version: 60
Operating system: Android 6.0

URLs (if applicable): theverge.com, neogaf.com

Steps to reproduce:
(1) click the link or write the url
(2) when the page is full load, select 'desktop mode'
(3) if you go to another site or continue to navigate, 'desktop mode' back to mobile version every single time.

Expected result: Continue to using 'desktop mode' unless you disable.


Actual result: 'Desktop mode' stop working proper.

Hello

Thanks for reporting the issue. We were unable to repro this issue on Xperia M4 Aqua(E2303)/5.0.0 with Chrome: 58.0.3029.83. On navigating to another site, desktop mode was working and 'Request desktop site' was checked. Can you please provide your chrome version, along with bugreport, video, if any, for the issue.

To get a bugreport:
Go to Android Settings > About Phone > Tap Build number 7 times, go back one screen, Developer options should be right above About phone.
Once you have enabled developer options, to take a bug report,go to Android Settings -> Developer Options -> Take bug report

ou tried to reproduce the problem with a different version of Android ( Lollipop x Marshmallow)

Android: 6.0.1 
Version: Google Chrome Beta 60.0.3112.20
Model: Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Dual (Brazil)
Sites: www.theverge.com / www.neogaf.com

As there is no action on this issue for long time closing this issue. Request you to update your Chrome to latest #66.0.3359.158 and verify. Feel free to file a new issue if the issue is still reproduced at your end.
