when the screen is “landscape”, the scroll gesture event on a image will be dealed as a tap event.

Not able to repro on chrome stable '58.0.3029.110' on Pixel running android OS 7.1.1. can you share with us a video? Thanks.

Was able to repro on chrome stable build 58.0.3029.83 Will bisect the issue.

Workaround: 1. Open Chrome. 2. visit Baidu.com and select News link "https://news.baidu.com/news?fr=mohome&ssid=9796d0a1bbd4c2f4b7e85041&from=844b&uid=&pu=sz%40320_1001%2Cta%40iphone_2_5.1_3_537&bd_page_type=1#/?_k=2gceno" 3. Change to Landscape view 4. Try scrolling the page. No issues. Per version bisect Good build: 53.0.2785.157 Bad build: 54.0.2790.2 Regression range: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/53.0.2785.157..54.0.2790.2?pretty=fuller&n=10000pretty=fuller&n=10000 You are looking for a change made after 403687(GOOD), but before 404030(BAD). Per CL Bisect Not all commits were available, so range is too wide.

It was bisected to M54, not M59. Not sure why the M59 label was added. It looks somewhat longstanding and site-specific so I haven't investigated.
