Ubuntu 16.04 LTS : Google Chrome crashes when I try to sign in to my Google A/c

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Google Chrome
2. Goto Settings
3. Goto Sign-in to Chrome

What is the expected behavior?
Google Chrome signs in to my google account. And all my bookmarks are retrieved

What went wrong?
Google Chrome crashes

Crashed report ID: No

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? Yes 54.0.2840.90

Chrome version: Google Chrome 58.0.3029.110   Channel: stable
OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0

Tested in chrome # 59.0.3071.115 and Canary #61.0.3160.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 & 16.04 and not able to reproduce the issue.Please find the screen shots for your reference.

@ rajibd2k: Could you please let me know if i have missed anything and if possible,Please create new profile without extensions and apps.Re-check once in latest stable or canary build and let us know the observations and provide the crash id from chrome://crashes of the issue which would help us to triage the issue further.

Closing the issue as did not hear back from user again. Please feel free to raise a new issue or reopen if the issue still persists or reappears.

Cross checked using chrome version 61.0.3163.100 on Ubuntu 14.04 and unable to reproduce it.
