Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Prerequisites: two cameras connected to PC Steps to reproduce: 1. open https://appr.tc/ 2. allow media permissions 3. join room 4. click on camera icon in address bar What is the expected behavior? Able to reproduce the issue on Windows 10 (Laptop with cam), Mac 10.12.5 & Ubuntu 14.04 (laptop) using chrome stable-59.0.3071.86 & Canary-61.0.3129.0 as per the above steps. Manual Bisect: ------------ Good-58.0.3006.0 --Revision-448862 Bad-58.0.3007.0 --Revision-449173 Per revision bisect info: ------------------------- You are probably looking for a change made after 448980 (known good), but no later than 448981 (first known bad). This is intentional. The dropdown menu there is misleading becaus e it has no effect on the current getUserMedia call. The only thing it does is change the user-preferred camera. It will be disabled for audio as well when spec-compliant audio constraints land. This and other aspects of the media-devices UI are the subject of other bugs like bug 556542.

BTW, changing the user-preferred camera can be done via content settings in chrome://settings/content/camera |
