We can do this as a cron job on findit.

We can re-use the recipe that is being used on buildbot slaves, but we can schedule it intelligently by targeting only bots that have not synced in over 24? hours and use a separate cache_name so that the local checkouts are not affected (we only care about the local git cache for this purpose)
