Chrome camera doesn't work on Android xperia F5321

Reported by stiv.yak...@gmail.com, Jun 5 2017

Issue description

Steps to reproduce the problem:
0. use android xperia F5321 (for my device skype works perfectly)
1. open https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/getusermedia/gum/
2. allow camera, but you see black screen instead of yourself
3.

What is the expected behavior?
to see video in the camera

What went wrong?
black box instead of video

Did this work before? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 58.0.3029.83 Channel: stable
OS Version: 7.0.0
Flash Version:

We have observed the same issue with some other functional new phones.

Following page also wrongly reports 2x2 pixels camera resolution on the same phone mentioned above.

https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/getusermedia/resolution/

The same sample works fine in Mozilla Firefox on Android.

This used to happen when another application was already using the camera and was fixed in M59.
Can you double check that the camera is not being used and run the experiment again?
Hello,
thank you for your hint.
Unfortunatelly, this is not the case here.
The camera is NOT in use.
We have even restarted the phone, making sure Chrome is the only application running.

Also please note that latest Firefox 5.0.2 (on Android) on the same phone has no issue at all. Both showing the correct "live camera snapshots" and also by identifying the camera resolution.

Sorry for typo, Firefox is version 53.0.2., indeed.

#5: yes, it looks like a dupe, could you guys try with a
Chrome Canary 61.0.3127.0 ? It should have fixed the crash.
