Font size for HTML "select" tag options are way too big and uncustomizable

Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Compose HTML page with "form" tag with "select" tag inside, with "option" tags inside that. 2. Add style font size change in CSS "select" class or inside "select" tag. 3. Save page and render. 4. Font sizes on rendered options in drop down list are too big and uncustomizable. 5. Issue is not present in Windows 10 Home 64 bit desktop Chrome version. What is the expected behavior? Trying to customize font size for drop down list items to 14 px. Works with Windows desktop Chrome and Firefox, and with Android moble app Firefox. What went wrong? Just the Chrome Android app seems to have the problem of uncustomizable font sizes for "select" tag elements in an HTML page. You can look at the differences between the Windows desktop Chrome and the Android Chrome at my website here: http://lae-laeweb.rhcloud.com/LAEWeb/ Did this work before? No Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 58.0.3029.83 Channel: stable OS Version: 7.0.0 Flash Version: A big annoiance for web developers for moble app usage.

Attached screenshot for website http://lae-laeweb.rhcloud.com/LAEWeb/ using Chrome on my Samsung Galaxy S7. Screenshot is the website "option" drop-down list at the website. I just think the font is too big as compared to the Firefox's app font accessing the website. And there seems to be no way to customize the font size with html for the website (my website).

Here is the initial JSP page for my site. It shows what I'm trying to do. If you change the font size to 10px for all the css id tags, and the css ".form1" class to 10px, the changes reflect in the Chrome browser for Windows. But for the Chrome browser in Android, the size changes reflect for the form and select controls, but not the options in the select control. Also, the background color for the select control is not reflected in the select control. The background color for the select control is reflected in the Firefox browser for Android. |
