Text disappearing

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. In a content-editor, in a <textarea> write some text. 2. In middle of a paragraph, select some text and then delete it(using delete button). Keep the cursor where it is now. 4. Add some media. 5. You will see that some text is missing where you added the media. What is the expected behavior? The text should remain intact What went wrong? The text which I wrote in my <textarea> got deleted. Did this work before? Yes 57.0.2987.110 Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 58.0.3029.110 Channel: stable OS Version: 15.10 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0 As far as I found, the number of character selected == number of characters that got deleted.

Tested the issue on ubuntu 14.04 using chrome latest stable M59 #59.0.3071.86 and issue is not reproduced with the below steps : 1. Launched chrome and navigated to a webpage with content editable text area amd added a paragraph . 2. Selected some text and deleted with delete button and copied an image to that area and observed no text deletion or dispappear. Attached screencast for reference. @hemant-- Could you please check attached screencast and confirm us if we had missed any steps in reproducing the issue and also please try in latest stable and if you can still able to reproduce the issue , please help us by providng the sample test file to reproduce the issue. Tested this issue on ubuntu 14.04 using #58.0.3029.110. and issue is not reproducible as per the steps mentioned in original comment. @hemant-- Could you please check the attached screen cast and let us know if we missed any steps, and also please check it in latest stable and see if you still face the issue? Hi. you have to enter media content from your desktop(using media buttons used in an online content editor) as I did in my screencast

Tested this issue on ubuntu 14.04 using #59.0.3071.104 and observed no text is disappearing after adding media into the editor. @hemant: Could you please find the attached screen cast and let us know the behavior. Thank!!
