Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/50.0.2661.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. 1. download chrome from https://www.google.it/intl/it/chrome/business/browser/admin/ 2. install it on any pc with different Language than english 3. it Always installs in english, no automated way to change the language 2. 3. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? hello, recently I found out that downloading and installing the MSI package of Google chrome for work, even if downloaded by the italian web page, always installs chrome in english even if Windows is set to italian. I am deploying this to many PCs, but we can't use Group policy configurations. So I need to know a way to install it choosing a different Language using a script/parameter/transform/other offline stuff that does not involve Group policy. I tried passing to the msi a transform with the parameter "ProductLanguage" set to 1040 (italian) instead of the default 1033, but it doesn't work, it says msi error 1623 (looks related to a missing Language pack). I can't find an automated way to install it in italian. the only way is to change it manually from the settings menu, but i can't do it on hundred pc. Could you please help me? Months ago it worked properly, but now even if i Use an older MSI it still installs in english. I already tried on many different PCs, same story. Thank you Did this work before? Yes Chrome version: 58 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

Hello, yes the steps you listed are correct. Today I tried another time on several computers: -desktop pc with windows 7 in italian, it correctly installs in italian; -Lenovo notebook pc with windows 10 enterprise in italian, it correctly installs in italian; -3 different HP elitebook notebook pc with win10 enterprise (same OS image used in the lenovo, as we deploy them with sccm), here it always installs in english, even if the OS language is italian and all the international settings are set to italy. Is there any way to know what the installer is looking at to determine the language? Thanks.

Hi. From roughly March 17 through April 28, downloaded MSI installers used the language of the download page for the installation language rather than the system language. Is it possible that you're using an MSI that you downloaded during this time period, or that you have previously used one on the impacted machines?
It's possible that these machines have a "lang=en" value in HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Google\Update\ClientState\{8A69D345-D564-463C-AFF1-A69D9E530F96} that was written sometime in the past. Check for this value before installing Chrome and delete it if found.
Please let me know what you find. Thanks.

Hello, yes the time period was about the one you mentioned, but I had already tried downloading it both from the english page and the italian page, getting the same problem. Today I tried downloading the latest version again and installing it on some machines I have here now, and it looks like it correctly install in italian now, and there is no trace of "lang=en" in the registry key you provided. I still need to check an installation on an HP elitebook laptop (the model that was still problematic before), that I don't have available at this time, so please wait before closing this case so that I can check that one and let you know. Thanks for your help, regards
