User reported that this is still happening in 60. Whenever I'm in the files app/program, I want to rename a file. If so, I hit control plus Enter, and am met with silence upon entry of my keystroke. Until I press ener, the entire dialogue is speechless! Mode: force_next Version: 60.0.3112.114

ChromeOS Version 63.0.3230.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) Firmware Version Google_Samus.6300.174.0 Hello, I am not able to reproduce this issue in Chrome Canary on my Chromebook. Here's what I did: # Enable ChromeVox # Launch Files app and put focus on any local file such as cvoxexample.html # Press Ctrl + Enter # Rename edit field appears, ChromeVox says "cvoxexample selected Edit text" I saw that you're using Chrome 60, so I went ahead and reproed this bug on my other Chromebook using a file in my Drive instead of a local file. I can reproduce this behavior. ChromeOS Version 60.0.3112.114 (Official Build) stable-channel lulu Firmware Version Google_Lulu.6301.136.57 # Enable ChromeVox # Launch Files app and put focus on any Drive file such as HelloWorldtest.gdoc # Press Ctrl + Enter # Rename edit field appears, ChromeVox says "HelloWorldtest.gdoc 2 dashes Google document", today's date, List item 6 of 11 Selected. Expected: says Edit text at the end when the field becomes editable Actual: does not include Edit text at the end Since this fix is coming in a future version of Chrome OS, please try again when it is released. You might also want to try again in one of our Dev or Beta channels if you want to use this feature a bit earlier. Here's an article on that: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/1086915?hl=en I'm resolving this bug. Please let me know if you have further questions. Thanks, Laura |
