Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: By long tapping one can open a link in a new tab, but one cannot switch to it in the same step. What is the expected behavior? the Firefox app has a question at the bottom to switch to the new tab. What went wrong? doesn't even offer a menu item to open a link in a new tab and switch to it. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 60.0.3107.3 Channel: dev OS Version: Flash Version:

That could be an additional feature we can look into. I think the current behavior as default makes sense as it allows users to open multiple links in background sequentially. However, I'm also open to having a shortcut to accessing the recently opened tab. +cleer

Actually currently the new tab created slowly sinks down and disappears. The whole process takes about half a second unfortunately not enough time for the user to tap it to switch that tab.

therefore perhaps make the whole process 2 seconds long instead of half a second that way the user will have enough time to tap the new tab before it fully receeds below the horizon

And thus switch to the new tab.
