Characters disappear from page when searching for next results in find-in-page |

Issue descriptionTo repro: open chrome://flags and when you begin seeing content quickly select "Find in page" from 3-dot menu, type "offlin". Then hit the magnifier button and/or the down arrow button to search for following hits. You'll notice the page starts changing with characters disappearing from the screen. See attached screenshots. In this repro instance the problem got worse with each hit of the find-next button (see them in name order). This is occurring in a local debug build, running on a Pixel device. I noticed it for the 1st time yesterday, waited until today and synched/rebuilt again to confirm that it wasn't just a transient issue. Current //src commit is 61b2c92224f1bb6db51b0d7b9a84a08dd451f658.

Does it happen on any other page or is it limited to the flags page? What OS and version is this?

I haven't tested with any other pages beyond chrome://flags. This Pixel is running a userdebug build of Android 7.1.1, NMF26U.

carlosk@ This issue similar to Issue 726226 , did you observed this issue on 60.0.3110.0 and above versions ? It is broken in 60.0.3110.0. could you please recheck on latest M60 and M61 builds. Thanks

The error occurred when building from ToT, with src/ @ 61b2c92224f1bb6db51b0d7b9a84a08dd451f658 but I'm unsure what milestone that belongs to. I just tested on canary 61.0.3125.5 and on a local build (from last week) and couldn't repro anymore. So I'm closing this issue. |
