Keyboard events get "stuck" after switching spaces

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3071.61 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open multiple browser windows in full screen
2. Arrange the desktop in between (Window 1 -- Desktop -- Window 2)
3. Using trackpad gesture, move focus from one window to the desktop, then to the other window
4. Press any key

What is the expected behavior?
The page receives one key press

What went wrong?
The page receives the key in a tight loop until the mouse button is clicked.

Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? N/A 

Does this work in other browsers? N/A

Unable to reproduce the issue on Mac-10.12.4 using chrome canary 61.0.3114.0 and reported version 60.0.3110.0 with the steps mentioned in comment#0.
will provide the screencast soon.

This video doesn't quite match my steps, so I'll explain in more detail:

First, I set up the monitor and restore focus to the page. I press "a" to illustrate the normal behavior.

Next, I switch workspaces as described.

Then, I press "b" to illustrate the bug.

I don't believe you pressed "b" at the end.
