CMD-W doesn't close tabs while a dialog is showing

Issue description

Chrome Version: 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit)
OS: 10.12.5
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open: http://error.ms39.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/33186265348/index.html
(2) Press CMD-W to close the tab

What is the expected result?
The tab is closed

What happens instead?
Nothing

This happens when the web page display an javascript alert.

Able to reproduce the issue on Mac-10.12.4 using chrome Stable version 58.0.3029.110 and canary 60.0.3111.0 with the steps mentioned in comment#0. This is non-regression issue ,observed from M30# 30.0.1549.0 and marking it as Untriaged to get more inputs from Dev team.

Summary: CMD-W doesn't close tabs while a dialog is showing (was: CMD-W doesn't work on the tab)
Command-W should work as well as the close button. It's probably an implementation detail of tab-modal dialogs in general.
