CrOS: Vulnerability reported in Linux kernel (CVE-2017-9059)

Project Member Reported by vomit.go...@appspot.gserviceaccount.com, May 25 2017

Issue description

VOMIT (go/vomit) has received an external vulnerability report for the Linux kernel.

Advisory: CVE-2017-9059
  Details: http://vomit.googleplex.com/advisory?id=CVE/CVE-2017-9059
  CVSS severity score: 4.9/10.0
  Description:

The NFSv4 implementation in the Linux kernel through 4.11.1 allows local users to cause a denial of service (resource consumption) by leveraging improper channel callback shutdown when unmounting an NFSv4 filesystem, aka a "module reference and kernel daemon" leak.

Summary: CrOS: Vulnerability reported in Linux kernel (CVE-2017-9059) (was: CrOS: Vulnerability reported in Linux kernel)
Problem was introduced after v4.4 with commit bb6aeba736ba ("NFSv4.x: Switch to using svc_set_num_threads() ...". Problem therefore does not apply to CrOS.
