webkitSpeechRecognition no longer functions

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Head to https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/demos/speech.html
2. Attempt to use the demo

What is the expected behavior?
The recognized speech should be 

What went wrong?
I'm not positive what's happening here, but in my own investigation, it seems like the "result" event handler never fires.

Did this work before? Yes 

Chrome version: 58.0.3029.110  Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.12.4

To complete my thought in the "What is the expected behavior?" section:

The recognized speech should be displayed.
