PDF Viewer does not render thin lines

Chrome Version: 58
OS: Windows

This is split off from  bug 723938 .

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open jsfiddle-compressed.pdf from chrome-line-bug.zip in  bug 723938 .

What is the expected result?

There is an extra diagonal stray line when viewed in Acrobat Reader.

What happens instead?

The stray line does not appear in Chrome's PDF Viewer. See screenshot in  bug 723938 .
