Canvas.getImageData causes browser memory corruption

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. call canvas.getImageData(0,0,canvas.width,canvas.height)
2.

What is the expected behavior?
an image object is captured from the current canvas display

What went wrong?
canvas becomes corrupt and can cause chrome to become unresponsive

Did this work before? Yes 56.xxx.xxx.xx

Chrome version: 58.0.3029.110  Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version: 

my previous version was 56.xxx.xxx.xx which was working, updated on friday / monday and it now occurs

Please provide sample url for reproducing the bug.

Its on an intranet site we are developing so its difficult to give the example. But i can confirm that from closing my pc down on friday afternoon last week the problem wasnt there. Clearly chrome updated when i re-opened again on monday morning (22nd)

Please try to get a simplified repro case if you can.  It's really hard to fix things where there's no repro case.
I have just updated to version 59.0.3071.86 (Official Build) (64-bit) and can confirm the issue is now resolved.
