Chrome OS 60.0.3105.0, 9574.0.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Launch recovery screen (Ctr-F3-Power button ) 
(2) Put a usb stick with recovery image 
(3) 

What is the expected result?
The recovery process should start and finish 

What happens instead?
The recovery process does not start at all. 

Always 
- it only failed to Patriot USB3. 2 big devices on different builds  tested       
- It's not reproducible via other usb sticks e.g. Sandisk XBO360, Partiot usb 2, PNY 2.0/3.0 & SD card. 
- Patriot usb3 can be detected under file management, works for recovery image of other devices e.g. samus.
