Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3104.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: - Make sure we're using a Windows laptop - Start Google Chrome as Administrator - Search whatever on google.com - Try to scroll using touchpad What is the expected behavior? Should scroll a long web page using both mouse & touchpad on a laptop. What went wrong? Scrolling isn't working when running chrome (stable 58.0.3029.110) on elevated mode (as administrator) on Windows 10. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 58.0.3029.110 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0.0.171 Initially I though it was VS Code' issue [https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/24160] but their maintener ask me to reproduce it using chrome and that's why I need to report it here. I've tried using Chrome Cannary 60.0.3104.0 and it works just fine, but not with Chrome 58.0.3029.110. This issue is only happen when I'm using touchpad and everything is works fine when scrolling web page using eksternal mouse.

We removed the direct manipulation layer in Chrome 60 which was causing some issues kind of like this. We've had reports if you install the creators update it might start working as well.

Hi krajshree@ I've tried couple times but none is working, here I attached a screencast for reference. 1. Started Google Chrome as administrator 2. Search on google.com & open wikipedia.org 3. Tried scrolling using both touchpad & wireless mouse (unfortunately I don't have touchscreen device) 4. Page scrolled without issue using wireless mouse but not working on touchpad/trackpad. Also I had no issue when running Google Chrome as user (not as administrator). I'm not logged in to my profile on Google Chrome but some extension still activated, I'll try to disable all extension later on. Hi dtapu...@ I have no issue with Chrome 60 (It's Canary I guess) the issue is on Chrome stable 58 and I am already on Creators Update. |
