No "always-keep" option for downloads of potentially dangerous file types |
|
Issue descriptionA friend of mine pointed out a frustration they encounter with Chrome. The attached picture summarizes it well. It shows a .js file being downloaded, with a prompt warning the user that .js files could harm their computer. The prompt asks the user if they want to "Keep" the file or "Discard" it. But there is no option to "Always Keep" the file. This very well could be intentional, as a developer checking a .js file is not the typical use case. And it is better to error on the side of caution when it comes to user safety. But I wanted to point it out 1.) in case we didn't know there is a want for an "Always Keep" (or similar), and 2.) in case we hadn't considered it yet.
