localStorage property in Application tab disappears

Reported by anm...@gmail.com, May 22 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open any page (Gmail for example)
2. Open Dev Tools, go to Application tab, note that localStorage is there
3. Refresh the page
4. localStorage is missing

What is the expected behavior?
localStorage property to persist through page refresh

What went wrong?
See image - Application > Storage > localStorage field is blank

Did this work before? Yes 55

Chrome version: 58.0.3029.110 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.12.5
Flash Version:

This has been around for several weeks. I'm guessing it was version 55, but I'm not sure.

Also, closing and reopening DevTools brings localStorage back (the properties are not deleted - this is for DevTools only, not the functionality of the page)

After turning off all my extensions, the problem is no longer in Gmail. It is still in my applications, but I guess it is currently my problem until I can do a successful recreation.
