Some JPEG images appear with unusual colors

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3100.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Open https://arstechnica.co.uk/gadgets/2017/05/lg-gram-review-uk/ and look at the gallery.

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
Some images in that gallery appear with a weird filter that makes images unusable. Happens consistently but only with some pictures. (See screenshot: Chrome vs Preview; Firefox and Safari work fine)
