What happens on reload? --> The blue dot will not display on reload of the page. What if you open up a new tab and load maps.google.co.in ? --> The blue dot will display if maps.google.co.in is loaded in new tab, but if this page is refreshed then the blue dot will not display. Link to video for the above behavior: https://drive.google.com/a/google.com/file/d/0B8Cek8RsDbF8RjdDN1l3X1JnNjQ/view?usp=sharing This is not a regression issue the same behavior is noticed in M58 Stable and M59 Beta.

I tested on both Safari and Firefox by just visiting maps.google.com. The blue dot appears when page is first loaded. Refresh the page and the blue dot goes away. Tapped on the "locate" icon (lower right corner, looks like a cross-hair) and the blue dot appears. This feels like WAI for the Maps web site. I cannot say that it is a bug, even if it is, it would be triggered by the web site, not Chrome.

BTW, your original report said not reproducible on Safari & Firefox. That's not my experience.

I tried again on Safari and Firefox with these steps: 1. Visit maps.google.com (there's a blue dot) 2. From "omnibox" equivalent, type in "cats" to do a web search. 3. Tap the back button to go back to maps.google.com. Blue dot appeared. On Chrome M58 (app store), the blue dot does not appear on step 3.

Do we know if the problem is reproducible with Safari User Agent?
