Keyboard switching does not work in gmail

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 9554.1.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3100.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open GMail app in Chrome OS
2. Try to switch language by pressing Ctrl-Space
3. Switch does not happen

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
SHould switch input language by pressing Crtrl-space in Gmail

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 60.0.3100.0  Channel: dev
OS Version: 9554.1.0
