Reported by cristian...@gmail.com, May 20 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.87 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1:MediaSource.isTypeSupported('video/mp4; codecs="mp3"')=false
NotSupportedError: Failed to execute 'addSourceBuffer' on 'MediaSource': The type provided ('video/mp4; codecs="mp3"') is unsupported.

2. open the file in the folder using chrome .... player work correctly.

Why not supported but player not using mediasource works?

What is the expected behavior?
MediaSource.isTypeSupported('video/mp4; codecs="mp3"') = true

What went wrong?

My understanding is that this is working as intended. The reason why you can play the file is because MediaSource has a different support matrix that plain files.

Chrome's MSE implementation currently doesn't allow mp3 in mp4. This is the mp3 part of bug 661749. Regardless, it's unlikely that the eventual fix for mp3 in mp4 in Chrome MSE would allow 'mp3' as the codec in the addSourceBuffer() mime type argument; rather mp4a.69 or mp4a.6B would be more likely the eventually supported route.
