Seems like a Streamkeys issue?
@shrike According to Streamkeys' author, it is a Chrome bug. The MediaPlayPause action doesn't fire when play/pausing from Airpods. I mentioned Streamkeys here because it's the easier way to test this. I can boil this down to a sample project if you'd like. Please reconsider the wontfix status.
