Add Linux ChromiumOS Builder (dbg) to tryservers |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionOne of the more frequent causes for reverts of Chrome OS specific changes is for breakage of the Debug build (which I believe also uses a component build). This is covered by Linux ChromiumOS Builder (dbg) on the main waterfall, however there is no coverage on the default trybot list. I believe that the tryserver equivilent is linux_chromium_chromeos_dbg_ng. Can we add this to the default list? We appear to have debug builders for win, mac, linux, and android. Here is an example of a recently reverted CL: https://codereview.chromium.org/2871993005

+dnj@ - What is the right component or who is the right person to assign to requests for changing the default list of trybots?

Not exactly? The builder, "linux_chromium_chromeos_dbg_ng" is available in Rietveld but it is not run by default, and it is not in gerrit. (gerrit semi-helpfully has an 'Edit this repo's buildbucket.config' message with a link: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/refs/meta/config/buildbucket.config, but I can't actually tell where that repo lives...)

Oh, sorry I saw "no coverage on the default trybot list" and read that as missing. Enabling a new builder on the default tryjob set can be involved, as it requires a capacity recalculation and monitoring. I'm going to CC dpranke@ on this to determine if this is something we are budgeted for. If so, he'll forward it to the appropriate person to proceed.

This is a dup of bug 682724 , actually (which is also assigned to me). We should add this config back in, but I've been having to play capacity games lately, which is why I haven't yet. |
