There's a JSON API to return the data, e.g.

but there's no RAW handler. I agree this could be interesting but that couldn't be exposed as the normal API endpoints, yet it needs to be authenticated.

My local tests show a recent build of Chrome can handle > 38 MB.  Is that sufficient for most cases?

GAE has lower limits.
